When we heard about a Lolita experience salon in Aichi Prefecture, the staff at ronron were a little nervous, but decided to give it a try!
Many of ronron's customers are new to Lolita fashion, and we often hear them say things like, "I'm interested in Lolita fashion, but I never had the opportunity to start," or "I don't know how to get started with makeup or styling."
The experience salon this time was the perfect place for those new to Lolita.
What is Lolita Experience Salon LOCOCO?
LOCOCO , where I will be taking part in this photoshoot, operates a salon that requires reservations only. For this reason, you will not meet other customers and the salon is run by only female staff, so even those who feel shy can feel free to come!
A wide range of customers visit the store, from teenagers to those in their 30s, but the majority are in their late 20s to 30s. One of the attractions of an experience salon is that those who lived through the heyday of Lolita can casually enjoy Lolita fashion again.
Let's take a look at how the experience went!
Choose from 3 different courses and make a reservation
・Trial Lolita course (for 2 people or more) Outfit (1 set of outfit + headwear "head dress, headband") + photo shoot (about 5 photos) Time required 30 minutes ¥5,500 (tax included)
・Quick Lolita Course (from 1 person) Outfit (1 set of outfit + headwear (head dress, headband) + socks) + makeup + photoshoot (15 photos) Time required 45 minutes ¥8,800 (tax included)

When making a reservation, choose from the three courses above. Since I had the chance, I decided to go for the LOCOCO course + the optional wig and false eyelashes, and add some data !
Lolita Experience Salon Experience Process
The main flow is as follows.
1. Course Description
2. Choosing clothes
3. Change of clothes
4. Make-up
5. Shooting
6. Change into casual clothes
7. Photo selection
8. After confirming the photo, the session is over.
Now, let's review the actual experience.
Choose from over 30 cute items
After entering the all-pink shop and receiving an explanation of the courses, you can immediately start choosing your outfit. There are many items such as one-piece dresses, jumper skirts, and dresses. The clothes are regularly changed according to the season, so it is an attractive point that repeat customers can also enjoy it.
There is a wide variety of hair accessories, and just finding the combination you like is exciting. When I was having trouble deciding on an outfit, the staff gave me some advice, and I was able to find a combination that I was happy with!
The staff will also help you get changed, so you can relax. It seems like the most time-consuming part for all the customers is choosing what to wear, and I can understand why. I had a hard time deciding what to wear.
Makeup to make you look extra cute
Next comes the make-up. They will apply make-up that matches your clothes and face.
I don't know much about makeup myself, so I was happy to be able to learn what kind of makeup would suit me. Also, if I told them the look I wanted, they would take my opinions into account and create a makeup look for me.
I usually wear light makeup, so I was a little worried about wearing heavy, obvious makeup, but they were professionals! With the right clothes and hairstyle, the heavy makeup came together and I looked like a completely different person!
Another great thing about this class is that you can learn the tricks to applying makeup that suits a Lolita style.
The staff are big fans of Lolita, so feel free to ask them any questions you may have.
Posing instructions included! Photo shoot time
Once the clothes and makeup are done, it's time for photos!
The photo area is completely pink, so you can choose your favorite stuffed animals and cute accessories and take photos!
I thought, "I'm embarrassed to pose like a model, I can't do it," but the staff gave me instructions on poses and eye direction, so I was able to shoot without hesitation. Contrary to my initial nervousness, I was in the mood to shoot before I knew it!
After shooting, check the shooting data and you're done!
What I felt after going to the trial salon
What did you think?
To be honest, when I made the reservation, I was a bit worried, wondering "What will it be like?" and "Can I pull it off?", but when I actually tried it on, it was much more fun and satisfying than I had imagined! Not only did I get to wear the Lolita fashion I've always wanted, but I also had my makeup done and photographed by a professional, so I really got to experience the feeling of being a princess.
I also felt that it was a valuable experience to be able to learn from a professional how to dress and apply makeup in a way that suits me . Therefore, this salon is recommended not only for those who want to try Lolita once, but also for those who want to start Lolita.
Why not take a moment to let go of the worries of others and indulge in what you love?
