What is BISHU COLLECTION produced by TGC?

Ichinomiya City, the center of Bishu, one of the world's three largest wool-producing regions, is collaborating with the TGC Regional Revitalization Project at 2 days "BISHU FES." With the local community, we aim to create a one-of-a-kind, sustainable fashion festival produced by TGC. We hope that this event becomes an autumn tradition.

 

Simply put, it's a fashion show using Bishu fabrics.

This time, We interviewed Chocolat, who appeared as the designer of Bishu Lolita! ♡

Bishu x Lolita x Idol...first attempt

🎀“First of all, how did you feel when it was decided that you would be appearing on BISHU COLLECTION produced by TGC? ”

🍫 "I was surprised. For a while, I couldn't help but think, 'In Ichinomiya...? An event produced by Tokyo Girls Collection...? My brand on the runway...?'"

🎀 “How did you feel when the models were decided to be FRUITS ZIPPER?”

🍫 “That was a total surprise. They often played the song at the store...And they said, "After the runway, you're going to dance while wearing Bishu Lolita!?''

🎀 “That’s right! By the way, have any idols ever worn Bishu Lolita?”

🍫 "This is my first time. The models never danced while wearing Bishu Lolita... I was full of anticipation and anxiety about how it would turn out."

 

"A problem of color" which stands in your way

🎀 “Meanwhile, I heard that you made the clothes for this event. What kind of things did you have in mind?”

🍫 “As FRUITS ZIPPER has many pop and cute tunes, I used accessories to create a cute impression. ”

🎀 “Is there anything you were particularly created about?”

🍫 "It's an accessory that incorporates the members' colors. Up until now, the Bishu Lolita dress has been made in calm and chic colors, but just having them wear it as is is not enough to bring out the best in the girls. I thought maybe not.

When I talked to a friend who likes idols, she told me,  "If you incorporate the members' colors, you can see it at a glance, even from a distance.'' I decided to make it because I wanted to make it enjoyable for both the members and their fans. The design was completed by watching YouTube live videos and promotional videos, and through trial and error to see if it would look good on me. ”

🎀“As you can see in the photo, the member-colored scrunchies and ribbons are gorgeous and cute ♪ It must have been quite difficult to make the Bishu fabric in a different color than before.”

🍫“ Bishu Lolita sells high-quality men's fabrics from Bishu, but they don't have many brightly colored fabrics, so I had a hard time choosing fabrics... It was difficult to make all the clothes in member colors, but some of the clothes were remade in new colors as long as we could make it in time. ”

🎀“How long did it take to make all the clothes?”

🍫 "It took about half a year. We worked on it without enough time, but we were able to reach the day with the cooperation of many vendors."

 

Bishu Lolita is cute even when dancing♡

Chocolat created a collection for seven people in a short period of six months.

🎀“Actually What did you think when you had FRUITS ZIPPER wear it? ”

🍫 “It’s cuter than I imagined...! I was surprised at how cute it was. The customer's face immediately caught my eye. On top of that, Furuppa-chan's dance was really cute, and Bishu Lolita looked even cuter... I felt a synergistic effect of cuteness. ”

🎀“How was it for you, Chocolat, to walk on the runway yourself?”

🍫 “Masumida Shrine is a shrine right in front of my shop, and I used to see it almost every day. When my turn came, I was nervous, but strangely,I was able to walk with peace of mind. ”

🎀 “Please give me your final words regarding this event.”

🍫“ I think we were able to show FRUITS ZIPPER's fans a  "different FRUITS ZIPPER'' and a "new Bishu Lolita'' to those who patronize Bishu Lolita. On the day of the event, the Bishu Lolita was perfect for FRUITS ZIPPER, who performed the cute choreography, and my first experience became a very fond memory, as I thought, "My clothes are cute even when dancing.'" ”

Chocolat brought out the charm of new Bishu fabrics from the unknown combination of Bishu x Lolita x Idol. Thank you for your wonderful story ♡
